The architectural antiquities of Great Britain were published in 5 volumes, 1807--1826 (q.v.). The present advertisement announcing the completion of the third volume (dated 1812) additionally includes details of the previous two volumes and an announcement of the subjects to be included in vol. IV. 'The Work is continued in Quarterly Parts, each containing seven Engravings, with letter-press descriptions. It is printed on quarto paper, at 10s. 6d. each Part, and a few copies are worked on superfine Imperial Paper, with the First Impressions of the Plates, at 16s. each Part.' At this stage the work was to be completed in four volumes.

Copy Notes Attached is an ALs from John Britton dates 27 April 1812 requesting the loan of two volumes from Soane's library on the subject of theatres and enclosing a few bills of my / works, which perhaps you may have / an opportunity of putting into the hands / of some friends, who can thereby oblige / Yr obliged & obedt Servt ....
