Half-title reads 'A Copy Of The Charter Of The Bank Of England: And Also The By-Laws For the Good Government of the said Corporation'. The 'Letters patent' signed July 27, 1695. The Abstract of the charter to the governour and company of the Bank of England was first published in 1694. ESTC n3488.
Copy Notes In the form of transfer presented at the foot of p. 19 is the insertion in pencil, 'That I A.B. this 14th Day of October in the Year of our Lord 1815 do Assign and Transfer one half of my Interest or Share in the Capital Stock and Fond of the Governor and Company of the Bank of England, and all Benefits arising thereby, unto Nicholas Banduro his Heirs and Assigns. Witness my Hand John Soane. ...' The hand, however, is not Soane's.
