A continuation of A description of ventilators (1743, q.v.), with paragraphs numbered 237--731. 'The Paragraphs are here numbered, in a continued Series, from the last of those in the first Volume, ... The Plates and Numbers of the Figures are continued on also in the same Manner' (footnote to p. 1). An abridged first part with paragraphs numbered 1--184 was also brought out in 1758, with the imprint reading: printed for Richard Manby; and sold by J. Pridden (see ESTC t127164). The plates are engraved by T. Jefferys. ESTC t100918.

Copy Notes Bound in one volume with the first part, A description of ventilators, 1743, and bought from Thomas Boone for 3s. on 3 October 1808. (Spiers Box). Inscribed in pencil on front free-endpaper plates 2 Vols. in one/ =3 s=.

Binding C18th sprinkled calf, blind roll-tool and gilt double-rule borders, gilt-tooled spine, red spine-label.
