The imprint of Mariette appears only on the title-plate; the other 16 plates have no imprint. This suite was probably first published in the 1660s by Jean I Le Blond, and later c. 1670 by Jean II Le Blond, whose stock of coppers passed after his death in 1709 to Pierre II Mariette. Here it forms part of L'architecture à la mode published by Jean Mariette around 1710 (q.v.), suggesting that the Soane copy of the compilation may have been issued after the death of Pierre II Mariette in 1716.
