London: printed for the proprietors of the "Mirror of Parliament", [1833].
3, [1] p. ; 21.5 cm. (8°)

Drop-head title. Imprint from p. [4]. 'J.H.B.' is John Henry Barrow, founder and editor of The Mirror of Parliament, a weekly record of debates in both Houses of Parliament published from January 1828 to October 1841. Records the second reading of the bill moved by Joseph Hume, M.P.

Copy Notes Forty-eight copies in a recent archival paper envelope, accompanied by a memo by A.T. Bolton (curator of the museum, 1917--1945) noting that 'Unfortunately Hume was incorrect in stating that no 14. L. I flds was included as well as no 12. in the gift for the support of the Institution.'. - A further copy is tipped into an album of 'Newspaper Cuttings of Sir John's own Time', probably assembled by Bolton after 1906. The original packet was found in the second of three repositories containing correspondence, miscellaneous papers and objects, sealed by Soane in November 1836 with directions that they should be opened on 22 November (the anniversary of his wife's death) in 1866, 1886 and 1896 respectively.
