All engraved. Publication date from imprint line of the engraved frontispiece with portrait of Raphael; the date is given as 'MDCLXXIV' in the cartouche. The title-plate includes a portrait and dedication to Queen Christina of Sweden. Thirty-six of the plates are engraved by Cesare Fantetti, the remainder by Pietro Aquila.
