A scrapbook containing thirty-two engravings of views of Cambridge: two 'Prospects' of the city from the east and west followed by small views of buildings, most with descriptive engraved text. The final plate, cut in half and bound as two folded plates, is captioned 'Habitus Academici In Universitate Cantabrigiensi ...' and has the imprint 'Printed & Sold by H. Overton at ye White horse without Newgate London.'
Copy Notes Front free-endpaper inscribed in pencil After 1722 when Kings College was begun by Gibbs. Rear pastedown inscribed in pencil au/ and 18/-.
Binding C18th quarter green morocco, thick gilt-ruled spine, red morocco spine-label, sheep boards with gilt roll-tooled borders.
