Apart from its title-leaf, this work consists of the text of Soane's letter and notes (pp. [3]-6) from A brief statement of the proceedings respecting the new Law Courts at Westminster (q.v.), an impression of the leaf bearing the 'Abrégé Of The Proceedings Respecting The New Buildings At Whitehall' (pp. [7-8]) also from A brief statement, and a final leaf (p. 9) of notes by Soane dated '... June 13, 1828'. Moyes first printed 50 copies of the 'Abrégé Of The Proceedings Respecting The New Buildings At Whitehall' on 30 April 1829, on 10 May 1828 he printed 100 copies. (Archives 7/11/15). It was incorporated in a revised version of A Brief statement (q.v., copy 1). Binding All copies: Original C19th grey paper boards, quarter black roan spine, gilt-lettered 'Observations on the New Law Courts &c'; pink paper label with the title printed in a Greek-key border pasted down on front cover. 13 copies of the Observations were bound by Weale in June 1828.
