Drop-head title. The first volume of the Society of Dilettanti's Specimens of antient sculpture was published by T. Payne, and J. White and Co. in 1809 (q.v.). The second volume, published by Payne and Foss in 1835, was apparently not acquired by Soane.

Copy Notes Bound as issued at the end of Payne and Foss's catalogue for 1837 (q.v.) with a list of 'Books printed for the University of Oxford' dated November 1836 (q.v.), an undated list of 'Harrow School Books' (q.v.), and a leaf advertising the first part of the 'Catalogue of the Manuscripts in the British Museum; New Series' (q.v.).

Binding Original C19th buff paper covers, printed title on upper cover, printed paper spine-label reading 'Payne And Foss's Catalogue For 1837. Price 5s.'
