Drop-head title within a woodcut garland. Imprint from colophon. Pages 2--4 have running title 'Prospectus Of Cooke's Unique Editions.' Charles Cooke extended the formula of illustrated pocket editions previously used by John Bell in his Poets of Great Britain series (109 vols, 1776--82) to publish series of uniform pocket editions in other genres such as 'British Classics', 'Sacred Classics', novels and plays, all 'Superbly Embellished'.
Copy Notes Bound as issued at the end of Cooke's pocket edition of The poetical works of Thomas Gray, [1799] (q.v.).
