An undated subscription prospectus for A series of letters, essays, dissertations, and discourses, on various subjects by Richard Clarke, who is named on p. iv. The first volume was published in [1792]; the second never appeared. Subscriptions were received by 'Mr Raithby, Stationer, ... Mr. Allen, ... Mr. Major, Bookseller, ... Mr. Denis, ... [in London]; Mr. Hazard at Bath; and Mr. Mills and Mrs. Palmer, Booksellers, ... Bristol; and by the Author, ...'. In this edition, the last word in the twelfth line of p. i is 'SIX' and there is no catchword; another edition has 'FIVE' and the catchword 'III.'. ESTC t20024.

Copy Notes Bound at the end of Clarke's A discourse on the third day of the Gospel, compared with the seventh day of the law, [1794?] (q.v.). The book is not included in the list of ten works by Clarke advertised on pp. v--vi of the prospectus.
