Printers' and booksellers' names vary. Publication continued until 1851. This was the first full record of the activities of the Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufacture, and Commerce (later the Royal Society of Arts, and contains notes on the transactions and progress of the society, list of members, catalogues of machines, list of rewards for progress in agricultural machines, articles on crops, chemistry, the encouragement of improvements, diagrams of machines, and a table of contents. Soane paid twenty guineas for life membership of the Society in 1835 (q.v.). ESTC p3191.

Binding Volumes I--XXXIII in original C18th-C19th blue paper boards, white paper spines with printed spine-labels. Volume L bound in two parts, in C19th limp brown covers with printed spine-labels.
