GREAT BRITAIN. Board of Ordnance
[Schedule of Contract. Bricklayers. 18--?]
Contract for bricklayers works, on the peace establishment, for the service of his Majesty's Honourable Board of Ordnance.
[London]: [18--?].
10, [2] p. ; 49.4 cm. (2º)

Undated proforma schedules for procurement of bricklayers' work. Soane never held the post of Architect to the Board of Ordnance which was created in 1719 and abolished in 1829, but when the Office of Works was reorganized following James Wyatt's death in 1813, Soane was appointed in 1814 with John Nash and Robert Smirke as one of three 'Attached Architects' with responsibility for public buildings, a position held by Soane until 1832; this and other similar, undated Board of Ordnance schedules of contract in the Soane Museum (qq.v.) may possibly date to that time.

Copy Notes Two copies, unannotated.

Binding Stitched.
