The imprint is false as it that of the first part dated 1681 (q.v.); see Wing C6654 and C66664, where Brussels is suggested as the probably actual place of publication. M.R. Perkin says of this edition that "it was clearly not printed in England" and "was most likely piratical but may well have been commissioned in England." See M.R. Perkin, Abraham Cowley: a bibliography (Dawson, 1977), B11. 'The Tragical History Of Piramus And Thisbe', 'Sylva' and 'Loves Riddle' each have a dated special title-page but continuous pagination and register. ESTC r224230; Wing C6664.

Copy Notes Bound after The works of Mr. Abraham Cowley, London [i.e. Brussels?], 1681 (q.v.).

Binding C17th(?) sheep, covers with blind fillets parallel to the spine, black spine-label.
