A scheme of an institution, and a description of a plan, for a general lunatic asylum, for the western counties, to be built in or near the city of Glocester, unanimously approved of at a general meeting of the subscribers to the fund for carrying such a design into execution, held at the Infirmary, at Glocester, on the 14th day of July, 1794.

The scheme was brought forward by Sir George Onesiphorus Paul, previously involved in the building of the new Gloucester Gaol in 1780. Final leaf is blank. ESTC t17237.

Copy Notes Bound (2) with Sir G.O. Paul's Minutes of proceedings relative to the establishment of a general lunatic asylum, near the city of Glocester, 1796 (q.v.), in a volume inscribed to Nash by Paul and acquired by Soane at John Nash's sale, R.H. Evans, 15--20 July, 1835 (q.v.).
