Folded half-sheet, final verso blank. Drop-head title. A lithographically printed letter inviting subscriptions for the restoration of the C16th altar-screen uncovered during Gwilt's restoration of the choir of the church of St. Saviour and St. Mary Overy in Southwark (now Southwark Cathedral), signed 'E. Perronet Sells, Hon: Secy.' and dated 'Bankside, Southwark, Novr. 1st. 1831.' The restoration was carried out to designs by the architect Robert Wallace, who had previously restored the transepts and stone reredos of the church in 1829--30; it is illustrated in the February 1834 issue (pp. 151--154) of the Gentleman's Magazine (q.v.).
