Folded half-sheet, final verso blank. Lithographically printed circular. The architect Lewis Nockalls Cottingham was brought in to oversee the restoration of St Alban's Abbey after the collapse of the church nave in February 1832. Page [3] contains a lithographic covering letter encouraging subscriptions, signed 'Tho Ward Blagg Hony. Secy. St. Albans, 21st. Novr. 1832'. Blagg was coroner for St Alban's.

Copy Notes Inscribed in ink at the foot of p. [2] Since this Report was published further Subscriptions / have been made ... leaving the / Sum of £3000 still to be obtained. The Repairs are / still going on to the Extent of the sum subscribed / pursuant to a Resolution adopted at the Public / Meeting held at the Thatched House Tavern St. James' / on the 13th. of February last. Accompanied by an ALs dated St Albans, 17 May 1833 from Thomas Ward Blagg, in which the report was enclosed, expressing the committee's desire to wait upon Soane in London the following week.
