Drop-head title taken from the statement for the first quarter of 1822. An incomplete collection of 25 quarterly statements of accounts dated between 1816 and 1836; those for the second quarter (April--June) also include the report of the Annual Grand Festival held at the end of April. Holdings: 1816 (first quarter including report of a 'Special Grand Lodge', 20 March 1816); 1817 (second quarter); 1822 (first two quarters); 1823 (first quarter); 1824 (third quarter); 1829 (fourth quarter); 1831 (first quarter); 1832 (first two quarters); 1833 (first, second and fourth quarters); 1834 (all); 1834 (second, third and fourth quarters); 1836 (first two quarters). The statement for the first quarter of 1816 records a vote of thanks to Soane for his role in negotiating the purchase of two houses in Great Queen Street, of which he is appointed one of five trustees, and Soane's note of acknowledgement in which he excuses his neglect of the duties of masonry on the grounds of 'The Calamity that has lately befallen me', i.e. the death of Eliza Soane in November 1815. The statements for the third quarter of 1824, the fourth quarter of 1833 and the third quarter of 1834 include advertisements for the 'Freemasons' Calendar'.
