Folded half-sheet, first verso and conjugate leaf blank. Undated; watermark 'FELLOWS / 1824'. Lithographically printed advertisement for subscriptions, which were to be received by the booksellers Rodwell and Martin, and by the Rev. G.A. Browne at Trinity College, Cambridge.
Copy Notes Previously folded as an envelope addressed on blank p. [4] to J. Soane Esqr / 13. Lincolns Inn Fields, red wax seal; endorsed in ink in an office hand Letter respecting a / Collection of drawings / procured by Mr Dodwell / during his travels in / Greece. Ten years later Soane negotiated the deposit of Dodwell's original drawings for his Views and descriptions of Cyclopian, or, Pelasgic remains, in Greece and Italy, posthumously published in 1834 (prospectus, q.v.), through H.H. Carwardine and Thomas Phillips, R.A. acting on behalf of Lady Crichton (SM Drawings Vols 22--24).
