For pages 1 to 9, and 13 to 21, see a work entitled "Plans, elevations, and perspective views of Pitzhanger Manor House."
London: J. Moyes, Castle Street, Leicester Square, [1833?].
[2], 9-12, 21-39, [1] p. ; 31.6 cm. (4°)

Imprint from p. 39. The title-leaf transcribed above is prefixed to the text relating to Soane's problems with his elder son John, John's wife and their daughter, Elizabeth (who eloped with Captain Frederick Chamier in May 1832), reproduced with some variations from the relevant pages of the longer of two versions of Soane's Plans, elevations, and perspective views, of Pitzhanger Manor-House, which has a title-page dated 1833 (q.v.). A bill from James Moyes dated 30 October 1832 relates to the printing of 15 copies of titles to the 'portion [of Pitzhanger] relating to 'Mr John Soane' and two cancelled pages. (Archives 7/17/4). Pages 29--39 must have been printed later, as they reproduce letters respecting the education of Soane's grandson, numbered I--XVIII and dated between 22 August and 30 September 1833. In about 1835 the text was brought up to date in a revised and expanded version containing additional material relating to events in 1834 and 1835 and reintegrating the description of Pitzhanger as a single preliminary leaf (q.v.).
