The first annual report of the committee of directors of the Chelsea Parochial Schools, submitted to, and unanimously approved of, by a general meeting of the subscribers, held the 15th April, 1828, at the new school house, the Hon. & Rev. G.V. Wellesley, D.D. president, in the chair. With a list of subscribers and benefactors, and of officers appointed for the ensuing year. These schools were instituted in the reign of Queen Anne.

The report describes the financial difficulties of the charity, with the debt of £1110 18s. 6d. for bricks used in building the new school still unpaid since the previous year (q.v.). Includes a list of subscribers and donors, including Soane for £1 1s. Soane was appointed Clerk of Works of Chelsea Hospital in May 1807 and held the post until his death in 1837.
