Anonymous. By Edward Smedley. Forms nos. XX, XXXII of Murray's (later Tegg's) 'Family Library'. With 2 pp. of publisher's advertisements for 'Valuable Guide Books, &c. For Travellers on the Continent.' at end of vol. II. Volume II includes errata for vol. I. The plates were engraved by Edward Finden after Samuel Prout.

Copy Notes With a copy of Murray's Family Library Advertiser, February 1831 (q.v.) bound at the front. A bill from T. & W. Boone records Soane's purchase of volumes 15 to 18 and 20 to 22 of the 'Family Library' for £1 11s. 6d. on 17 June 1831. (Priv. Corr. XVI.E.7.15). Volume II has bookseller's label on first pastedown reading 'Sold by T. & W. Boone'.

Binding Publisher's brown cloth with title printed on upper cover: 'The Family Library. No. ... Sketches From Venetian History. ... Price Five Shillings.'; and list of titles on lower cover; spine with printed series title 'Venetian History. Vol. ... 5s. Family Library. Vol. ...'.
