The fallacies of hope, a poem.

Anonymous. Printed by 'J.B. Nichols and Son' - title-page verso and colophon. Two pages of publisher's advertisements before the title-page. 'Fallacies of Hope' was the title of a poem by Soane's friend and fellow Royal Academician J.M.W. Turner, known only from excerpts appended to the titles of some of his paintings between 1812 and 1850, but no manuscript was found among the artist's papers, and the present work does not correspond to the verses that are known from Turner's poem.
