Addressed 'To the editor of the Times', and signed 'A Grecian Traveller. March 13, 1819'. The author, Thomas Smart Hughes, undertook the continuation of Hume and Smollett's 'History of England' from the accession of George II for A.J. Valpy in 1834 (q.v.).
