Ostensibly the fourth volume of Gleanings through Wales, Holland and Westphalia, first published in 1795 (4th ed., 1798, q.v.), it was also intended to be the first of a separate and independent 'Gleanings in England' set of volumes, according to a statement on p. xxx. Later editions with additional volumes were published in 1801 and 1803. ESTC t85825.
Copy Notes Imperfect; wanting the half-title called for by ESTC.
Binding C19th calf, gilt-rolled borders, blind-rolled edges, green morocco spine-labels. Uniform with the copy of Pratt's Gleanings through Wales, Holland, and Westphalia, the four volumes bound by Hood & McCullock for 12s., 24 May 1826. (Archive 16/12/38).
