Brooke Faulkner was physician to the forces and served on the staff in Spain, Holland, Sicily and Malta. His travel writings were as much about affairs in Britain as abroad; Soane's library also contains a pamphlet, Reply to some clerical objections taken against his Rambling Notes, London, 1828 (q.v.). Errata at end of contents.
