The plates consist of portraits of the Earl of Moira engraved by Ridley after a painting in enamel by Spicer and of the Duke of Sussex by Blood after S. Drummond ARA (the latter previously published in The European Magazine, q.v.), and a sketch of the Masonic jewel presented to the Earl of Moira with a description. The frontispiece is a double-page engraving of the ticket of admission to the Festival. The final leaf carries advertisements of publications sold by James Asperne. Printer's statement on verso of half-title: Printed by Joyce Gold.

Copy Notes Inscribed in ink on the half-title From Brother Asperne / to Brother Soan with / his fraternal respects. Unopened. Bound (1) as issued with an advertisement for the European Magazine published by Asperne, dated 1st January 1812 (q.v.). Further information about James Asperne who was publisher to the Freemasons is given in A.R. Hewitt and James Grove, A selection of recent additions to the Grand Lodge Library and Museum (London 1970), pp.121--3. Front free-endpaper inscribed in pencil 1866-96, the dates specified by Soane for the opening of receptacles sealed according to his instructions.
