Volume I only. An abridgment covering 1665--1700 of the Philosophical transactions of the Royal Society of London and the Philosophical collections, 1679--82, with an index of all three volumes in the first volume. Contents: vol. I. Containing all the mathematical papers -- vol. II. Containing all the physiological papers -- vol. III. In two parts, the first containing all the anatomical, medical and chymical, and the second all the philological and miscellaneous papers. The volume on mathematics includes papers on trigonometry, surveying, optics, architecture and perspective. ESTC t103703.

Copy Notes Imperfect; wanting vols II and III. With a duplicate of the 'Imprimatur' half-title verso inserted between the 'Dedication' and the 'Preface'. Former library shelf-mark in ink on front pastedown.

Binding C18th sprinkled calf, gilt-tooled spine compartments, spine-label missing.
