First published 1803. On title-page verso: Printed by T. Gillet'. Issued from 1804 to 1822, Frend's Evening amusements formed a popular introduction to astronomy; the earlier numbers, intended to be referred to in later volumes, went through several editions. Publisher's advertisements for two further works by Frend on final page.
