Forms no. XVIII of of Murray's (later Tegg's) 'Family Library'. Plates with tissue guards. Contains the voyages of Alonzo de Ojeda, Pedro Alonzo Niño and Christoval Guerra, Vicente Yañez Pinzon, Diego de Lepe and Rodrigo de Bastides, Diego de Nicuesa, Vasco Nuñez de Balboa, and Juan Ponce de Leon. In appendix is Irving's 'A Visit To Palos', and the Manifesto of Alonzo de Ojeda. With title-page armorial vignette of the Pinzon family, and a final page of publisher's advertisements for ten titles of 'Entertaining Voyages And Travels'.

Copy Notes With a copy of Murray's Family Library Advertiser, December 1830 (q.v.) bound at the front, including a pasted on publisher's announcement on a pink printed slip. A bill from T. & W. Boone records Soane's purchase of volumes 15 to 18 and 20 to 22 of the 'Family Library' for £1 11s. 6d. on 17 June 1831. (Priv. Corr. XVI.E.7.15).
