Forms no. XII of Murray's (later Tegg's) 'Family Library'. The first edition of Southey's Life of Nelson was published by John Murray in 1813 (q.v.); Murray's 'new edition' first appeared in 1825. Tissue guard before the title-page. With a wood-engraved title-page vignette portrait of Nelson and two full-page illustrations depicting the Battle of the Nile and the death of Nelson.
