The first edition of the companion work to Goldsmith's popular Roman history, 1769 (q.v.), published shortly after the author's premature death. Page 299 in vol. I misnumbered '289'. 'Kearsley' in the imprint of vol. II reads 'Kearsly'; a variant omits the volume statement from the title-page of vol. I. Running title 'History Of Greece'. ESTC t146080.
