Apparently a re-issue in two volumes of the edition published in one volume in the same year (ESTC n39389). The first volume has a cancel title-leaf and ends with fol. Y1. 'Pliny's Panegyrick Upon The Emperor Trajan' has separate title-page and pagination; in the one-volume issue the translator of the Panegyrick is given as 'Mr. Bond'. In vol. I, pp. vi, 32 and 286 misnumbered iv, 30 and 216; in vol. II, p. 345 misnumbered 453. With an index and errata at the end of vol. II ([10] pp.), preceded by a leaf of publisher's advertisements. Dedication to Thomas Parker, Earl of Macclesfield dated Chelmondiston, Suffolk Nov. 15. 1723'. ESTC n20246.
Copy Notes Volume I inscribed in ink on front free-endpaper John Moore. Pencilled initials J B on title-page of both volumes. Notations in ink as for library shelfmarks or bookseller's codes on verso of first free-endpaper and rear pastedown of first volume.
Binding C18th calf, blind double-ruled borders with blind roll-tooling parallel spine, gilt-tooled spine compartments, red morocco spine-labels.
