Originally published in 1753. A free translation by William Melmoth of the Epistolae ad familiares, arranged according to their supposed dates and divided into 15 books, with an index referring to the order in which they stand in the edition of Graevius. The title-page of each volume has an engraved portrait vignette of Cicero. ESTC t136976.

Binding C18th tree calf, gilt-tooled spine, red and blue morocco spine-labels. Uniformly bound with Melmoth's translations of Cicero's Cato and Laelius, 1777 (q.v.) and Pliny's Letters, 1778 (q.v.).
