Henry Hake Seward (1778-1848, pupil and assistant May 1794 - September 1808) and Charles Malton (1788-?, pupil February 1802 - December 1809).
The entry in the Soane office Day Book for 15 March 1805 has ' About drawings of / Saxon Room at Stowe'. Nowadays Saxon or Anglo-Saxon is generally thought of as the period from AD 410 (the retreat of the Romans) and the Norman Conquest of 1066. Gothic succeeded Norman architecture.
