Curatorial note
With three drawers, all with later turned knobs; the large central drawer with keyhole but the lock is missing; bracket feet; the rectangular swing mirror is mounted on columnar supports with ball shaped finials; brass keys and plates on each side of mirror to adjust angle.
This mirror is shown on a chest-of-drawers (XF14) in J. M. Gandy’s view of Soane’s bedroom of 1825 (Vol. 82, 31).
In 2015 this mirror was reinstated in its original position on chest of drawers XF10 in the recreated Bedroom as part of Phase 2 of Opening up the Soane.
This mirror is shown on a chest-of-drawers (XF14) in J. M. Gandy’s view of Soane’s bedroom of 1825 (Vol. 82, 31).
