Curatorial note
This original frame for drawing P407 was discovered in store (identified by its inscription) and restored in 2001. The picture put back into it in time for exhibition at Somerset House as part of an exhibition devoted to Royal Academy exhibitions.
The frame was examined again as part of Phase 3 of OUTS when the work was re-hung in its original position in the Book Passage on the second floor.
