Robert Dennis Chantrell (1793 - 1872)
Small sketch of the principal fronts of Covent Garden Theatre designed by the architect Robert Smirke
In the 1840 Catalogue of Pictures, George Bailey (Curator, previously Soane's assistant since 1807) lists P402-P404 as 'Three watercolours ...by ... Chantrell, in 1811'. However, if they are the RA exhibts of 1810 this is incorrect.
