Curatorial note
This cast is from Barberini Candelabrum Vatican, Museo Pio-Clementino, Galleria delle statue, inv. 547. This candelabrum has a three-sided base, each face trapezoid in shape. Soane owned casts of two of the panels, this one and one of Aphrodite (M1356) but not of the third (a figure of Ares - for an image of that figure see British Museum drawing reference 2013,5015.1.33).
