This cast from a cinquecento spandrel ornament is decorated with a cupid or putto with his arms outstretched holding a piece of cloth drapery. He stands on top of a ewer or jug with ornamental (?dolphin) handles. A pair of seahorses flank the base of the ewer and are tethered with ribbons to the lower scrolling ends of its handles. Scrolling foliage sprouts from the head of the little cherub, which is flanked by two flowers.
