Curatorial note
The Museum's 1837 AB inventory described this item as: Glazed case containing the mummies of two cats, one found in a house in Lothbury taken down for the new buildings at the Bank in 1803 between the wall and the wainscoting of a Room with the Rat in its mouth and the other in Lord Yarborough’s House in Chelsea.
