Curatorial note

A cast of one of a pair of roundels made by the sculptor Thomas Banks for use by Soane at the Bank of England, after a pair of Roman originals, 'Sol' (the Sun) and 'Luna' (the Moon) on the Arch of Constantine, Rome. Pair with A1.
