Robert and James Adam travel drawings

Adam Volume 26

1762

Almost all contents of volume appear to have been acquired or commissioned by James Adam during his time in Rome between 1760-63. The purpose of this volume was to provide the Adam brothers and their office with classical ornaments that could be borrowed or adapted as the Adam style required.
