Working drawing for the stables and coach-houses, copied 3 July 1824 (1)

Drawing 10 shows the principal supports of the stables and coach-house. The coloured washes indicate materials: brickwork is pink, stone is brown, and timber is yellow; doorways are in grey wash. The stables building has a two-storeyed centre flanked by wings with stalls; the coach-house has space for two carriages.

The inscriptions mistakenly show some dimensions as inches.

The drawing is probably copied from those drawings made between 22 June and 2 July 1824, when the Soane office was working on the design of the stables (DB 21).

The drawing for a 'Water Garden' on the verso of drawing 10 appears to be unrelated to Pell Wall. The dimensions of the garden wall do not match those for Pell Wall.
