The intended location for this pier glass and commode is unknown, although the date of 1778 would suggest that they were meant for the octagonal museum extension on which Adam was then working. It is not known if the pier glass or commode were executed, but if they were, they would probably have been sold at auction following Keate’s death alongside his other effects, and are now lost.
