Record drawing for a ceiling for the front parlour, 1771, unexecuted (1)

The name parlour suggests that this room was located at the front on the ground storey. The Bacchic elements within this design suggest that the room was also used for eating, and indeed, this was the typical location for a dining room in a townhouse of this date.
