It is likely that Adam volumes 11/139 and 11/140 are misinscribed for Mr Lascelles's dressing room as the design does not conform to the shape or scale of that room (Adam volume 35/20). The design does, however, conform to the shape and scale of Mrs Lascelles's dressing room, and it has been presumed here that Adam volumes 11/139 and 11/140 are unexecuted, alternative designs.
