London: 58 (former 50) Park Street, Westminster: repairs and alterations for Henry Peters, 1800, 1806 and 1808 (1)

Soane arranged surveys and alterations for three successive clients at 58 Park Street - in 1784 for Philip Yorke, then for the Hon. James Hamilton, and finally for Henry Peters (1762-1827) over several phases from 1791 to 1808. Peters was a banker, mayor of the manor of Teddington and an MP for Oxford from 1796-1802. For Soane he was a loyal client, the architect being entrusted with works at Peters' country house, Betchworth Castle, Surrey, 32 Berkeley Square, Camden, 68 and 34 Gower Street, Camden (for the client's mother).

58 Park Street stood in the block between Oxford Street and North Row. Soane carried out extensive works for Peters in 1800, 1806 and 1808 but only one drawing - a survey of the basement - survives. The house no longer survives.
