Antoine Banier's historical explanations were first translated into English for an edition of 1732. A list of 'Books printed for S. Harding' follows the last page of text before the index. In the Soane copy, the Advertisement leaf A2 (pp. iii--iv) is a cancel, with a printed slip tipped in on p. iii containing a 15-line uncaptioned epistle to the reader in Latin, beginning 'Poesin Mythologicam ...' and signed M. M. ESTC t99263.

Copy Notes Front free-endpaper inscribed in ink G Moore March 7th / Neasden 1782 / ejus Liber and the lower pastedown inscribed by Moore with Business for the Week ..., being a reading list starting with Ovid's Met: Monday & Tuesday. With pencilled price, 3/6, at top right-hand corner of front free-endpaper; probably the 'Ovid' bought from Thomas Boone for 3s. 6d. on 13 May 1807. (Spiers Box).

Binding C18th blind-panelled calf with anthemion and foliate motif and grape corner-pieces, blind-ruled borders, without spine-label or lettering. With signature 'G. Moore' scratched on front board.
