Although volume I of Chalmers' 'standing work' on Scottish antiquities appeared as promised in 1807, publication of the second and third volumes did not take place until 1820 and 1824, by which time the work had been projected into six volumes. The final three volumes never appeared.

Copy Notes Bound (and almost certainly distributed) with six other printed flyers in a copy of the March 1807 issue of The Gentleman's Magazine (q.v., copy 2).
